Homs: Regime bombing kills 7 people in al-Waer neighborhood

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime extended its fierce aerial campaign on al-Waer in Homs city, killing 7 people in 19  air strikes rocked the besieged neighborhood, local activists said Sunday.

The fierce bombing on the last stronghold for rebels in the the central Syrian city came as regime breaches a U.N;-brokered truce reached in December 2015.

The local council of al-Waer warned of similar scenario to Daraya, a poor outskirt southern Damascus, where rebels find no escape of surrender and leaving the town to Idlib province after 4-year-old siege.

Zaman al-Wasl reporter said the regime warplanes launched 32 air raids during the past 24 hours using vacuum missiles and Napalm. 10 air raids were launched on al-Waer and tens of rocket-propelled grenades killed two sibling children Marya al-Tadmuri (7 months) and Hamza by Napalm bomb Saturday.

5 more people have been killed in regime strikes on the northern countryside of Homs.

Regime warplanes conducted 16 raids on northern Homs, including 5 raids on al-Rastan town that left two women dead. The raids caused severe damage to residential buildings.

Also, two civilians were killed in al-Makramiye and Talbiyse by Rocket-propelled grenades fired from regime checkpoints in northern countryside.
