(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 7 civilians have been killed Tuesday in Russian missile attack hit a local market in the town of Maaret Misreen in Idlib province, local sources reported.
Medical sources confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl that 7 civilians have been killed and more than 34 have been injured by Russian air strikes targeted central market and other areas with cluster bombs. The injured were transferred by volunteers to field hospitals inside the city.
Sources added, Assad and Russian warplanes bombed the specialist hospital and women’s hospital inside Idlib city with phosphorus bombs injuring scores including medical staff. As a result, specialist hospital is out of service now.
Russia, ally to Assad regime, has launched a massive air campaign against Assad’s opponents since September 2015.
London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights said a total of 2,704 Syrian civilians have been killed by Russian airstrikes since Moscow intervention in Syria.
