(Zaman Al Wasl)- Senior commanders in the Second Coastal Division were targeted by an explosion hit their car while driving in the Western countryside of Idlib on Thursday.
Activists said three commanders were wounded and ministered to a field hospital, a medical source confirmed that their condition has been stable.
The explosion has highlighted queries about who was behind those frequent incidents that targeted many commanders of the Free Syrian army in Latakia, as many of them were victims of armed robbery during driving in the Western countryside of Idlib.
A commander in the Coastal Second Division has refused to accuse any party of targeting the commanders, but he was biased toward accusing the regime of doing that.
A source talked on condition of anonymity confirmed that 8 regime’s agents managed to reach to the Turkish boarders inside a van and they were in women clothes which prevented the rebels from inspecting them and check their identity.
The source mentioned that 2 of them managed to cross to Turkey, while the rest stayed inside Syria in the countryside of Latakia. It is expected that they used fake names an identity and claimed supported the revolution which enabled them of keep in touch with other regime’s agents and planed for the hitting the commanders.
Rebels and civilians requested the Free Syrian Army's formations to increase security inspection on routes by adding more fixed and mobile barriers, in order to protect civilians and rebels of being victims for armed robbery, as many such incidents happened by masked men.
Activists called for founding a united court orders and forcing all formation to abide by them, in order to secure the law independence.
Activist Mohamed al-Naji explained that the unity of rebels and their achievement in Yarmouk Battle has annoyed the regime which started working of damaging this unity an good relations between the Free Syrian Army formations, by putting flags belong to particular formations on the cars involved in the attacking the commanders.
There is a state of anticipation and caution among rebels and civilians, waiting the outcomes of inspection and catching the criminals and regime’s agents.
