Deir Ezzor: Russia's main target not just civilians but also water, electricity supplies

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Few days ago the Russian air strikes targeted a neglected village in Western countryside of Dier Ezzor killing two sisters (Baylasan and Eman Mohammed Matar al-Zobaa) who were less than 7 years of age, with their 5-year-old cousin Liyan, while they were sleeping at the roof of their house.

Activist Abo Hozaifa explained to Zaman AL Wasl that the village of Mohimidiya has been deprived of essential services like drinking water and electricity, beside depriving children of teaching. People in the village under threat of Russian air strikes or the suppression of the Islamic State.

The activist mentioned that due to hot weather and lack of electricity, people sleep at the roof of their houses, and that what family of the two girls (Baylasana and Eman) and their cousin Liyan did, but the brutal Russian war plane hit their houses at 6:30 morning of September 2 with cluster bombs, killing the three girls, and wounding the mother.

The activist mentioned that people of the village Mohimidiyah are known of their generosity and good moral, they always welcomed displaced people in their houses, where it is hard to see a house without a displaced family or two as the family take care of their guests. He mentioned that the village was one of the first to protest against the Syrian regime and it was targeted by heavy shelling and bombing in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

In the same day of killing the three girls, another cluster bomb killed three displaced young men were sleeping at the roof of their host, the next door neighbour, these young men run away from the their village due to clashed between the regime and the Islamic State, but they were nothing can be safe as long as the Russian war planes keep shelling residential areas with cluster bombs.
