(Zaman ِAl Wasl)- Syrian resistance factions announced Saturday launch of Qadisiyet al-Janub battle in the northern countryside of Quneitra, according to statement posted online.
The statement said Ahrar al-Sham, Fath al-Sham Front and Bayt al-Maqdis Group and other groups unnamed will fight in the battle started with shelling regime locations in Quneitra.
The statement of the factions pointed out to what happened in Daraya saying, “the battle did not finish with our brothers leaving to the north. Although that is painful for us, but it is war. If the wrong won now, the right will win eventually.”
Preliminary reports indicate the factions shelling destroyed regime tank inside Tarnajeh in Qunietra while regime responded with air strikes targeted Dael and Ibtah in northern Hawran countryside.
On the other hand, Fath al-Sham Front said on Twitter the first regime defense was broken and posted photos of storming al-Humriye point. Later, the factions captured Tal al-Humritye north of Jabata al-Khashab and the third division near al-Baath city.
