FSA takes Strategic Kawkab village from regime in Hama province

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Free Syrian Army on Sunday has controlled the village of Kawkab in the northern countryside of Hama after preparatory mortar shelling followed by exploding a car bomb among regime’s forces inside the village, in the same time the regime airplanes hit the liberated areas northern Hama.

Hama news centres and activists reported that the Free Syrian Army has launched a heavy attack on regime’s barriers around the village of Kawkab and exploded a bomb car inside regime’s sites in the village, killing 11 members and destroying many vehicles during heavy clashes with the regime led to liberating the village.

The village of KAwkab is situated in Soran city, southern of Mia’an town, about 20 kilometres away from Hama city, and only 9 kilometers far from Damascus- Aleppo highway. The village is considered the first defense line for the regime in Hama city and the regime-loyal villages of Raghba and Talisha and Mobatan.

In a relevant content, rebels shelled some regime’s sites in the town of Salhab and Hama military airport with Grad missiles as a response to airstrikes on Tibat al-Emam and Soran city.

Formations of the Free Syrian Army have in the beginning of last month launched a battle of North Hama aiming to release pressure of fronts of Aleppo, they liberated Helfay and Tibat al-Emam and Soran cities besides villages of Masasneh, Zalaqiyat, nasiriyah, Bowaida and many barriers and military points added to killing dozens of members of regime forces and its supporting militias.
