250 Syrians falsify university certificates to follow U.N. training in Turkey


(Zaman Al Wasl)- The opposition's Dean of Teachers, Hasan Tayfour revealed that teachers council has discovered 250 fake university certificates out of 4000 applicants for the teachers preparation in the Turkish city of Urfa.

In his talk to Zaman al-Wasl, Tayfour divided forgers of university certificates into 4 sections: secondary school certificates, University students, traders, graduated students but cannot obtain the certificates.

Tayfour commented on the way of choosing trainees in preparation courses for teachers, highlighting that many trainers do not hold even the secondary certificate but have the TOMER certificate. The dean mentioned that many of non-educational professional were among trainees.

Tayfour disapproved the ignorance toward Syrian teachers and their qualifications by the Turkish officials responsible for teachers’ training, mentioning that choosing trainees was done by the Turkish officials and Children's Rights and & Emergency Relief Organization (UNICEF) without any reference to the Syrian government and teachers.

The teachers’ Dean mentioned that he received promises by the consultant of Minister of Education about increasing the salary of Syrian teachers to TYR1300 instead of TYR900 that is given by the UNICEF.

Tayfour mentioned that 22 Thousand teachers are in Turkey while only 60% of them is employed as UNICEF only pay for 12 thousand, while others wait to find a job or aid.

The Opposition Dean of Teachers mentioned that it has about 23 thousand members inside and outside Syria, and it aim to withdraw the official recognition from the regime’s one.
