(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 25 civilians have been killed and dozens wounded in regime air strikes on northern Aleppo province on Monday, few hours since the Bashar al-Assad military announced the collapse of U.S.-Russia brokered ceasefire truce.
The regime’s warplanes hit an aid convoy loaded with relief materials and food rations, under the protection of the Red Crescent in the Western countryside of Aleppo, resulted in burning many trucks and injuring many civilians and staff while were unloading the trucks.
Zaman al-Wasl correspondent in Aleppo mentioned that the Syrian regime’s warplanes had killed the manager of Red Crescent and 14 other people when they stroke a store in the town of Orem al-Kobra in Western countryside of Aleppo by 25 missiles resulted in huge destruction for the place and burning about 20 trucks.
A local source confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl that strikes had directly targeted the aid convoy, mentioning that trucks were loaded with aid and blankets and other materials for winter entered the regime-controlled areas in Western Aleppo under protection of the Red Crescent this Monday’s afternoon.
In a relevant content, a medical source in the area mentioned that 15 people were killed in Orem al-Kobra, expecting increase in the number of death.
The source mentioned that similar strikes had hit areas of Hoor near Orem al-Kobra, killing 7 civilians.
In the city of Aleppo, the warplanes bombed neighbourhoods of the city killing and injuring civilians in al-Sokari, Mowasalat and Marja neighbourhood.
