(Zaman al-Wasl)- Islamic State on Monday downed a regime mig-21 in the eastern province of Deir ez-Zor, killing its pilot, local activists said.
Notorious Pilot General Ali Hamze, who was born in Misyaf town in Hama countryside, was shot down with his warplane in al-Thardeh mountain.
A well-informed source said Hamzeh was one of the most criminal pilots in 24 Brigade and one of the firsts to bomb Syrian cities and towns in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and Hasaka.
The source confirmed the pilot Hamzeh committed al-Kaziye massacre in Tal Abyad on 20 August 2012 killing and injuring tens of civilians.
According to the source, Ali was one of the most sectarian officers in 24 Brigade in Deir ez-Zor and was close to Chief of Intelligence Administration Jameel al-Hasan. ISIS downing the Mig causes a major loss for the brigade.
