(Zaman Al Wasl)- Many political figures of Ghad al-Suri movement announced, in a joint statement, their withdrawal from the movement following the agreement between the movement head Ahmed Jarba and the Kurdish Self Administration on September 10, which identified the conflict in Syria as a conflict for power.
Subsequently significant number of members refused the agreement and announced their withdrawal, considering the agreement with Self-Administration as agreement with the Syrian regime.
Motiee’a al-Saho, spokesman of the withdrawn members said:” the agreement between Ghad al-Suri, (Syria’s Tomorrow) and the Self Administration has been surprising to majority of the movement’s members especially those who had announced before their refusal to any relation with the Self Administration as they see it as an arm of the Syrian regime from one side, and the Democratic Union Party form the other.”
Al-Saho confirmed in his speak to Zaman al-Wasl: “the movement had suggested the idea of the agreement to some members in the Turkish city of Urfa before calling them for urgent meeting in which they took decision refusing the agreement and any kind of agreement between militias of the Democratic union Party.”
The spokesman mentioned that members who had withdrawn followed their decision with a written statement and sent it to the General Secretariat of Ghad al-Sur movement, end of last August, confirming their refusal to alliance with the Self Administration that was forces by the Democratic Union party that is considered an ally to the Syrian regime.
“We regret to discover that the movement was nothing more than an extension to the Self Administration and Syrian Democratic Forces militias, our withdrawal is not late, but we took the decision when we have enough evidence.
Al-Saho mentioned that number of withdrawn members is big and forms the majority of movement which means losing legitimacy of the movement.
In regard to the relation between the movement and Russia and the visit to Moscow that Jarba, Head of the Movement made, al-Saho said: “ we waited for the outcomes of the visit like cease fire and delivering aid to besieged areas, but all those were lies and rumors and nothing was achieved.”
Al-Saho confirmed: “the gathering of revolution protectors in both military and political wings is announcing withdrawal of all its 1100 fighters and members from the Ghad al-Suri movement due to their agreement with the Kurdish self Administration.”
