Homs: 25 people killed, wounded in regime strikes on Rastan town

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Four civilians have been killed and 21 more wounded by regime's artillery shelling and air strikes on Rastan town in  northern Homs countryside after Friday Pray, local reporter.

Zaman al-Wasl reporter said the heavy shelling on the northern countryside of Homs started a day after relative calmness in the besieged countryside due to the arriving of a new batch of members of the Free Syrian Army with their families from al-Waer to al-Dar al-Kabira crossing point.

The correspondent added that the regime’s warplanes stayed flying over the area the whole day long, and at night Russian warplane bombed villages and towns of Northern countryside of Homs with banned weapons like cluster bombs an napalm and others.

The operation room of northern Homs countryside said they killed 13 regime soldiers in a special operation targeted a barrier in al-Shakara village southern-west Salamiyah city, at Homs-Hama-Salamiyah route, very close to Khnaifis village, one of the most known centre of abduction and bullying in Syria.

In the next-door province of Hama, Russian air strikes killed at least 21rebel fighters as Russia and regime army wage the fiercest aerial campaign on opposition-held areas in northern Syria.

The strikes hit the bastion of Fursan al-Haq Brigade, key unit in the newly-formed The New Idlib Army, in the town of Tibat al-Imam town.
