Second batch of Homs rebels leave al-Waer neighborhood

(Zaman Al Wasl)- 350 people, third of them rebel fighters, have been evacuated from their last foothold in the besieged al-Waer neighborhood in Homs city on Monday, regime news agency SANA and local reporter said.

Zaman al-Wasl reporter said more than 100 fighters were in the group scheduled to leave to the northern Homs countryside.

With the second and last batch evacuation, the local negotiation committee has fulfilled regime conditions to break Waer siege and to let aid and food enter.

Zaman reporter said people of al-Waer keep an eye on the destiny of 7365 detainees as Regime has been always procrastinating over their release.

The first batch of around 120 fighters and their families left on Thursday. The evacuations are part of the Syrian regime's attempts to conclude local agreements with rebels in besieged areas that have resulted in rebels being given safe passage to insurgent-controlled areas.
