(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime loyalists talk about a fierce attack of the Syrian army and supporting militias in the countryside of Hama, however, the armed opposition has kept advancing and liberating more area of the countryside.
The armed opposition has since the beginning of this Thursday controlled checkpoints of Talet Shilka, al-Khazan and al-Sado, and the village of Karah and Khafsin, taking advantage of low morale among regime’s forces.
Regime loyalists have via social media expressed their anger from their army because it was not able with all the arms and supporting militias to defeat few fighters of the opposition.
The armed opposition has started a battle northern of Hama in the beginning of the September aimed at relieving pressure on opposition forces in Aleppo beisdes liberating the city of Hama.
In mid-2014, the Syrian regime was forced to deploy units known as the Tiger Forces, commanded by Air Force Intelligence officer Suheil al-Hassan, to stop the advance of the armed opposition on the city of Hama.
After 5 years of multi-sided war, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and 11 million, half of Syria's pre-war population, have been displaced.
