(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Liberated Police Forces in Aleppo have been formed since 2012, that worked on keeping security and safty in liberated areas.
In this occasion, the media centre of Liberated police forces of Aleppo has published a filmed report presenting the main steps of the first liberated police system in Syria.
The report mentioned that forming Liberated police of Aleppo has started after a tour by General Adib al-Shalaf around police centres in the Western and Northern countryside of Aleppo, besides the city of Aleppo, those were run by defected officers and member.
The report mentioned that he agreed with them to form the Headquarter of Liberated police forces of Aleppo to unite and coordinate their efforts to serve the community. The report indicated that main role of the police was to keep safety and security for people and their properties, besides implementing the principle of Community police of defected police members and officers.
According to the report, difficulties faced the liberated police in the beginning, most important was changing the negative attitude of people toward police forces, besides lack of fund and support, added to pressure from external bodies to control them.
Liberated Police forces of Aleppo managed according to the report the document crimes of Bashar al-Assad and supporters against Syrians people, which helped in rebuilding the confidence of people in police again.
General Adib al-Shalaf, manager of Liberated Police of Aleppo mentioned that they are the core for a police system to be run all over the country, as they have officially started on October1, 2012, with defected members and officers of regime forces who found police centres in their villages and towns. However, Liberated Police forces organised the work of those police stations in the beginning, then they manage to open more police stations with hundreds of members and officers.
Liberated Police forces of Aleppo have more than 2000 members and 100 officers, which is the core for liberated police system all over the country.
