(Zaman Al Wasl)- 24 fires were broken out in the fields of Tartus countryside Sunday, due to neglicance of farmers who burnt the residuals of olive harvest according to Samir Shamma, head of fire brigade in Tartus.
Shamma revealed that the biggest fire was in Dahr Drikish which had destroyed more than 300 acres, while the one in Albisar had destroyed about 50 acres. Head of fire brigade explained that they had cooperated with the directorate of agriculture and managed to put all fire out.
Photos published on regime’s loyalist social media accounts showed the huge destruction caused by fires, as wide areas of green land have become land covered with ashes and smoke.
