Syrian resistance bombing of Deir Mahrde checkpoint has led to killing of General Mahdi Mubarek, from Sajnou village in Tartus and the leader of artillery division located in the al-Deir.
By killing Mubarek, the Syrian resistance had rid of another sectarian criminal symbol who supervised killing and injuring hundreds of Syrians as well as forcibly displacing thousands through his post.
Syrian resistance is fighting critical battles to expand control in Hama countryside in an attempt to tighten noose on regime and its supporters in the area which is considered a huge storage to recruit sectarian mercenaries.
The regime changed Mahrde from a place of worship to a military barrack and was successful in mobilizing and recruiting groups of mercenaries from Mahrde under its propaganda of being the protector of Christians. Mahrde lost many of its sons due to drifting along with regime provocation who choose to serve with regime and fight their neighbors for it.
