Homs students sit on ground as no disks available

(Zaman Al Wasl)- In one of Homs’s “secure” neighborhoods where there are no “armed men” nor “terrorists and extremists” according to regime; where there is only the authority of the regime and its institutions, tens of students are jammed in classrooms that some of them take seats on the floor.

Yes, this happens in al-Hamediye neighborhood in Homs and specifically in al-Irshad school known today by the name of Waleed Adeeb Khori (he was killed end of 2012 while fighting in regime ranks). A photo of students appears as they take seats on the floor after “regime was not able” to provide seats for them for it is busy spending money on killing their peers in other regions in Syria.

Even the “Arab seats” which the regime provided for the young ones in its schools where its photo is hanged and its “achievements” are glorified every morning was not whole.

The phenomena of crowded students in the classes in some schools under regime-control in Homs is widespread. In some classes, there are 75 students at a time when regime and its institutions still receive support from UN organizations with millions of dollars to support education and especially in the marginalized areas. However, this money does not seem to make it to schools but to regime corrupted men’s pockets.

In addition to that, Assad regime still depend on schools as centers to collect money where it forces students to pay money under the “cooperation and activity” clauses. Today, in some schools, students pay 500 SP and 600 SP for this clause to find themselves taking seats on the floor as there are no one to cooperate with them to change the situation nor someone to provide a wooden seat for them.
