(Zaman Al Wasl)- Adbul -Rahim al- Fara, a child suffers of Acute Leukemia since he was 5 years old.
His family was devastated from when they knew his disease, they found no support to treat him. They then treated him in the American hospital in Beirut before the war where he received marrow transplant from his sister then he needed to go to hospital once every other day, then twice a week then once a week and then every month and follow up every 6 months.
After the war in Syria, he with his family left to Egypt in September 27, 2012 where his treatment was interrupted.
His family found no organization or body to help in following his condition medically, even the UN high Commissioner for Refugees.
Abdul-Rahim's family went to hospital 3575, the well known hospital for treating children’s but the hospital refused admitting him claiming that he needed no treatment.
The treatment with anti cancer drugs have affected Abdul Rahim's growth psychologically and mentally, as his mental development is younger than his actual age. However he is talented in drawing, he spends hours drawing with pencils his preferred cartoon and do different kinds of decorations and shapes.
Abdul Rahim says to his mother that he would grow up and present his pictures in an exhibition and bring money because all people lie to them.
