(Zaman Al Wasl)- People of coastal Latakia city said the lack of security turned a second concern after mounting cases of poisoning due to expired food and dairies, regime social media said.
The Directorate of Internal Trading and protecting consumers announced capturing three factories for dairy products owned by local traders, selling expired products and contaminated with poisonous and some of them cancerous elements.
Digging deeper revealed that the real owners of these factories were two officers of the regime-supporting militias of National Defense Forces (NDF), in partnership with a an officer in the air forces at a Major rank, according to the Facebook page of Bahloliyah news Network.
The network revealed names of overt owners, but it refused revealing the names of real owners even under insistence of the Facebook page followers.
“we cannot reveal their name, as all officials know them, we would not get any benefit from telling their names because they would not get punished”, the page’s administration explained.
The Directorate of internal trading in Latakia confirmed that examining the products sold from the factories revealed contamination with solvents and other elements used in painting an dying.
Dr. S.K from Latakia explained that consuming food contaminated with these unsafe elements increase the risk of getting cancer.
The Directorate of internal trading and protecting consumers only locked the 3 factories and other shops sell the product for two weeks and had done nothing to the real or fake owners and did not complain against them for punishment.
Dr. S.K expects that aim of putting these materials with the dairy products was to improve their appearance and texture, which would increase opportunity to sell them. He excluded any aim of intentional harming of people
