(Zaman al-Wasl)- Syrian resistance factions participating in Euphrates Shield operation made advances on Monday breaking first defense lines of ISIS in the villages east of Izaz in Aleppo northern countryside, local sources reported.
Zaman al-Wasl reporter in Aleppo said the Syrian resistance recaptured 9 villages from ISIS in Aleppo northern countryside following fierce battles.
The Syrian resistance in the land battles used for the first time locally manufactured minesweeper which facilitated cleansing the villages form which ISIS withdrew under Turkish Air Force air strikes.
Al-Jabha al-Shamiye brigade leader Abu Hatem said the Syrian resistance captured on Monday villages of Tawaqli, Yahmoul, al-Adiye, al-Sheikh Reeh, Baraghide, al-Bul, Jariz, Ghazal and Kafar Ghan.
Abu Hatem told Zaman al-Wasl the advances made by Syrian resistance during Monday battles in the third phase of Euphrates Shield Operation is very important especially that the liberated villages are considered ISIS strongest defense lines.
He pointed out that the current phase aims at liberating all villages in Aleppo northern countryside to move to al-Bab city surrounding villages in eastern countryside.
In the besieged city, 6 civilians have been killed by air strikes and artillery bombing in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo by a missile which fell on a residential building.
Also, the Syrian resistance thwarted regime forces and its supporting militias’ attack on the axis of Karam al-Jabla and Suleyman al-Halabi neighborhood in besieged Aleppo.
