(Zaman Al Wasl)- Powerful Jabhat Fateh al-Sham has released 127 Ahrar al-Sham fighters were detained in Idlib province by the Jund al-Aqsa that pledged allegiance to the former al-Qaeda branch in Syria, Ahrar movement's spokesman said Wednesday.
The military spokesman, Ahmed Qurra, said127 of its members have been freed from Jund al-Aqsa's prisons, without commenting anything in regard to Jund al-Aqsa’s detainees in their prisons.
Releasing detainees came amid conditions of mistrust and mutual accusations of attacking buildings belong to each of them in Hama and Idlib provinces.
In a relevant development, a well-informed source mentioned to Zaman al-Wasl that the military commander Hanan Abo Laith was killed during the operation of breaking siege on the town of Kawkab that had been controlled by the regime two days ago.
The source mentioned that Ahrar al-Sham has inspected the commander’s home two days ago due to clashed between both of them and Jund al-Aqsa.
In a surprising initiative, Jund al-Aqsa formation that had been fighting against Ahrar al-Sham in Idlib, had last Friday announced its complete unity with Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, which in turn confirmed the announcement via a statement surfaced on the internet, explained that all disagreement between both of Ahrar al-Sham and Jund al-Aqsa would be put before court supervised by harakat Fatah al-Sham.
In last two weeks, heavy clashes had broken out between Jund al-Aqsa and Ahrar al-Sham in Idlib and the northern countryside of Hama, but Fateh al-Sham contained the disagreement by unity with Jund al-Aqsa.
