(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime’s Security committee in northeastern Hasaka province agreed to provide PKK’s Syrian branch with 25 tonnes of ammunition and weapons as well with military night vision binoculars to monitor the Turkish border, activist said Thursday.
Ahmed al-Ali who works for Hasaka Media Centre said the security committee had decided to provide more arms to the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), People’s Protection Units (YPG), and the local security forces (Asayish).
The meeting wad led by General Ali Dhyab, head of the military security branch located in the Security Square in Hasaka city. It was also attended by the head of National Security branch, head of Air forces intelligence, director of the region of Hasaka and other officer worked on communication with the Kurdish party.
The meeting outcomes:
1- Allocating 4 headquarter for national Defense forces as alternative to those were controlled by the Kurdish party, and connecting them to the Ministry of defense which will pay their salaries.
2- re-distributing the teaching system of the Directorate of Education from villages and other regions to areas under regime’s control.
3- Gathering all employees in areas under regime’s control.
4- Providing the “civil Guards” – Shabiha, with light arm and ammunition at regular bases.
5- Providing Kurdistan Workers’ Party with 12 night vision binoculars to help then in monitoring the Syrian- Turkish borders.
6- Providing PKK with 25 tonnes of ammunition of different kinds and size, from the arm stores of troop 154 in Tartab southern of Qamishli.
7- Providing Asayish with 5 trucks to help them in transporting equipments to and from fronts.
8- Releasing 4 detainees of YPG detained in the Military branch of Hasaka.
Hasaka province is controlled by many forces, PYD has the larges t area, while the regime forces control only the security square of the city, but the Islamic State control the town of Markada, its last stronghold in the the southern countryside.
