(Eqtsad)- Syrian Activists in Turkey reported that offices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) refuses admitting Syrian refugees and ignore them even in days allocated for the public.
Journalist Jamal Mamo told Eqtsad that directors of UNHCR most of the time close their doors in front of Syrians, and when Syrians visit the office of Taksim in Istanbul, they are told that the office responsible for them is Esenler, and the same happens when they go to the later.
Mamo added that services provided by UNHCR to Syrian refugees in Turkey are too limited and rarely they helped Syrians in their living in the city.
In regard to the help for families with their children who study in Turkish schools, the journalist explained that UNHCR has not provided any support or influence on the decision of teaching Syrian students in Turkish language.
“hey treat Syrians living in Istanbul and other cities as if they are tourists and need no service or support”, ended.
