(Zaman Al Wasl)- Fastaqim Kama Umirt, key Syrian resistance faction, said Saturday its artillery detachment had targeted stronghold for Iran and Hezbollah Shiite militia in Aleppo city, killing 6 Iranian officers.
The Union released a statement that its security office managed to identify the meeting location for the Iranian and Hezbollah officers in the western part of Aleppo.
Based on the information, the artillery detachment targeted the meeting place with several mortar rockets.
Amar Saqar, the military spokesperson for the Union, indicated that the operation led to the death of 6 Iranian officers among them Mahmoud Marnar, a member of Hezbollah.
In a related context, on Friday, 9 civilians were killed and 22 were injured during aerial and artillery bombardment which targeted several neighborhoods in the besieged eastern part of Aleppo city. The bombing targeted the Civil Defense center and a field hospital which led to material losses and injuries among the staff.
Zaman al-Wasl’s reporter in Aleppo, mentioned that Russian airplanes targeted the eastern neighborhoods with thermobaric missiles indicating that the bombing focused on the neighborhoods of al-Shaar, Aqyoul, Hananu, al-Masir, al-Haydaret, and al-Sakhour.
A medical source in the city said in a statement to Zaman al-Wasl that the Russian airstrikes targeted the field hospital in al-Sakhour neighborhood which led to large material losses and the injury of 5 people among them 2 medical staff members.
The source indicated that the aerial strikes targeted the bread distribution center in al-Qatarji neighborhood which led to the killing of one civilians and the injury of 9 others. The source indicated that the airplanes targeted an ambulance car belonging to Sham organizations which was moving injured persons from the al-Shaar neighborhood. Mahmoud al-Jamili, the ambulance driver, was killed as a result of his injuries.
The warplanes targeted the Civil Defense rescue center in al-Sakhour neighborhood damaging the building and its vehicles.
Bebres Mashaal, the manager of the Civil Defense Bab al-Nairab center, said the search and rescue teams are still working to lift the rubble and search for those missing in Boustan al-Qasr neighborhood which witnessed a massacre on Wednesday. Mashaal indicated that the number of victims of the massacre has risen to 71 civilians.
