(AMN)- The leader of Iraq's Kurdistan Region's, Masoud Barzani, says time has come to retake Mosul from ISIS.
"All preparations for the battle to liberate Mosul have been completed," said Barzani in a statement posted on the Kurdish regional presidency's website on Saturday.
The Peshmerga comprise of a coalition of fighters, which include the Iraqi Army, Shia-led militias, and Turkish trained forces, to liberate the country's second largest city.
"The time has come to begin the liberation of Mosul," Barzani said on his twitter account.
