(Zaman al-Wasl)- Well-informed sources in al-Waer neighborhood Homs city reported that regime partially closed al-Muhandeseen and al-Shoun al-Faniya cross points on Sunday.
The sources told Zaman al-Wasl that regime banned entrance of food items to the neighborhood starting from 18 October and banned on Sunday entrance of bread and vegetables as well as renewed opening cross points until next Thursday in the aim of exit of those stuck in the neighborhood and outside it.
Source close to negotiation committee in al-Waer attributed regime behavior to trying to pressure the committee before the meeting supposed to be held on Saturday before it was cancelled for unknown reasons without identifying a new date.
In a related context, Zaman al-Wasl reporter in Homs obtained information that regime sent in the start of October very limited lists of detainees’ names from al-Waer neighborhood and other areas.
Well-informed sources confirmed the lists only include 25% of the total number of detainees at the regime detentions centers and all the ones included in the list are detained in the central prisons subordinate to regime’s ministry of interior.
Al-Waer negotiation committee had sent a list beginning of 2016 that includes more than 7350 detainees to regime to reveal their destiny and release who is left.
(A.F) from al-Waer told Zaman al-Wasl, “I visited the detainees’ office in al-Waer two weeks ago and I gave them a paper of 8 detainees’ names. The office manager said only 3 are in Homs Central Prison and Adra Prison whereas there is no information at all about the other 5.”
It should be noted the number of detainees in regime prisons and its security branches from Homs province is estimated between 20000-30000 detainees. Half of the detainees are likely to have died under torture and infectious diseases or hunger and cold.
