(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Assad regime escalated its bombing on Douma city in Eastern Ghouta, killing 5 people and injuring tens according to preliminary reports, activists reported Monday.
Douma Coordination Committee said the missiles launched by regime rocket launchers carried cluster loaded with cluster bombs killed 5 people and injured scores, some of the injured are in critical condition.
In Western Ghouta, Syrian resistance recaptured parts of al-Deer Khabiya town which regime was able to occupy during the past days.
Syrian resistance recaptured parts of the town in an attack on regime locations and its militia on Monday killing 20 from regime forces and captivating others during their attempt to escape via the town’s farms. Also, 3 regime tanks were destroyed in the attack, activists reported.
In neighboring Khan al-Sheeh town, Syrian resistance thwarted regime attempt to advance in the area. The town local council clarified that regime tried to advance backed by aerial and artillery coverage.
Regime warplanes dropped more than 46 explosive bombs as of today afternoon in conjunction with targeting the area with more than 10 Elephant rockets. The local council confirmed the resistance thwarted the regime advance and killed more than 15 regime personnel.
The area located between Khan al-Sheeh and al-Deer Khabiye was bombed with 28 explosive barrels Sunday and tens of mortars to pave the way for the attack foiled by Syrian resistance factions on Monday.
