Regime uses marine helicopters in bombing Damascus suburbs

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Syrian regime to use Marine Helicopters (MI14) in bombing the capital's western suburbs of Khan al-Shih and Zakia with barrel bombs,  sources said.

Sources explained that due to deterioration in the technical status of regime’s helicopters, the only ones left with high readiness are the Marine helicopters, which now have been using in dropping barrel bombs over Khan al-Shih and Zakia besides the Western Ghouta suburbs of Damascus.

The regime air forces has been using the attack helicopters only in night raids to avoid the risk of being targeted by anti-aircraft missiles owned by the Syrian Resistance.

The marine helicopters are generally used in implanting naval mines, attacking submarines, and launching torpedoes against marine targets.
