Coastal Tartus city mourned at least 400 soldiers in October

(Zaman Al Wasl)- A father and two sons from coastal Tartus city were killed in the same day in the battlefield of Aleppo amid reports of more than 400 bodies for slain soldiers had been received by the military hospital of Basel al-Assad in October.

Most of the bodies are still in mortuaries, as the hospital has handed only 30 bodies to their families in
the Alawites-dominated city.

Sources from the hospital confirmed that it is in process to expand mortuaries where bad smell spread in the place due to big number of bodies stuffed over each other.

Zaman al-Wasl obtained a list of bodies handed to their families and buried in their hometowns. The majority of the bodies were for soldiers and militia members from Drekish town, Safita and countryside. The list showed that almost 30% of young men of Tartus province were killed, it is considered to have the highest rate among Syrian cities that lose young men of age between 18 and 30.
