Smoke ejection, only available defence method against warplanes

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian activists documented an experiments of a machine work to eject dense smoke in air as a method of defence against further Russian and Syrian regime air strikes.

The machine is considered a substitute to burning tyres, which residents, especially children kept doing in order to create a "smoke curtain” against warplanes and to disguise and cover the rebels’ movement on ground, say Syrian activists.

A quarter of a million civilians still live in Aleppo's opposition-controlled eastern neighbourhoods, under siege after the Syrian forces and militias backed by Iran cut off the last road into rebels-contolled area.

Aleppo has been divided between government forces and rebels since the summer of 2012.
