Major Factions in Hama’s Northern Countryside form Joint Operation Room

(Zaman al-Wasl) A group of factions in Hama’s northern countryside announced the establishment of a join operation room. They released a statement, “An operation room was formed including Hama’s northern countryside to counter the enemy.” The operation room includes Jaish al-Nasar, Jaish al-Izzah, Sham Legion, Sons of al-Sham, and the Omar Brigade. 

In related news, Hama’s Media Center announced that regime helicopters dropped explosive barrels on the town of al-Lataminah in Hama’s northern countryside. The resistance factions managed on Saturday evening to regain control of the Syriatel checkpoint, Mufarq Lihaya, al-Madajin, al-Bashair school, on the Suran fronts. 

The resistance factions also managed to liberate the Shalyout checkpoint close to the city of Mahardah in western Hama after a violent attack on the regime forces and its militias based at the Shalyout checkpoint which forced the regime forces to withdraw from the checkpoint, and the resistance fighters seized heavy equipment. 

The regime forces and its militia regained control of the checkpoint on Saturday night. 

In the same context, Staff Colonel Ahmad Jamil al-Awad, the military operation commander of the regime forces in Hama’s northern countryside, was killed on Friday after a brigade subordinate to Jaish al-Izzah targeted a group of regime fighters, among them the officer, with a BGM-71 TOW missile in the environs of the city of Suran.
