Idlib: Assad air strikes kill 10 people in Barabo village

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The death toll of Syrian regime air strikes on northern Idlib province has risen to 21 after the deadly bombing on Barabo village that left 10 civilians dead, mostly family members, volunteer rescuing group said Tuesday.

Hours before, at least 11 people, including 3 children and 2 women, have been killed in air strikes on the town of Khan Sheikhoun.

The Civil Defense said tens more were wounded in the attack on the southern countryside that left huge destruction.

In Aleppo province, Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army and coalition airstrikes have killed 12 ISIS fighters, the military said Tuesday.

In a statement, the General Staff said Turkey hit 57 ISIS and one PKK/PYD target on Monday, including defensive positions and mortars, as part of Operation Euphrates Shield in northern Syria.

The military added seven Syrian opposition fighters were wounded during Monday's clashes.

Operation Euphrates Shield was launched in late August to clear Syria's northern border area of terrorists. It is now in its 77th day.

The operation has seen both ISIS and PKK/PYD terrorist groups targeted by the opposition Free Syrian Army plus Turkish tanks, artillery and aircraft. The PKK and its Syrian offshoot, the PYD, are both listed as terrorist groups by Turkey although the U.S. and EU only view the PKK as a terrorist organization. (With AA)
