Fateh al-Sham executed 6 fighters over ISIS allegiance claims: activist

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Powerful Jabhat Fateh al-Sham executed 6 men on Monday over claims of pledging allegiance to the Islamic State group in the southern province of Quneitra, activists said.

The six young men, who were born in the tribes-dominated village of al-Danaji in the capital’s western countryside, had been arrested by the formerly known as Nusra Front six months ago.

Activists Musab al-Ahmed said all pleas by families and relatives have been failed. Fateh al-Sham has even refused to handle the Southern Front fighters to the Justice House in Daraa province to consider their case.

Al-Ahmed says by this massacre, Fateh al-Sham has opened a new battlefront with Numeirat tribe in southern Syria since the slain fighters were belonging to the dominant tribe.

More than 100 people from al-Danaji village have been killed by the regime forces since the revolution erupted in March 2011. The last executions were the first to be carried out by a jihadist or rebel group.
