Almost 3 months passed, Euphrates shield advanced to al-Bab, few kilometres away from factions

(Zaman al-Wasl)- 79 days passed on the battle of Euphrates Shield in Northern countryside of Aleppo, it reached to the city of al-Bab, and only few kilometres separating it from other fighting factions. 

Head of the Turkish military staff reported Thursday killing two members of the Islamic State during clashed with Euphrates shields, which controlled the village of Shiekh Olwan southern of al-Raee town in northern countryside of Aleppo. 4 fighters of the shield’s factions were killed. 

Turkish artillery continued shelling sites of the Islamic State (ISIL) preparing for advancing where it targeted 92 sites for ISIL besides a site for the Kurdish people’s protection Unites (YPG) according to the Turkish sources that confirmed that explosive team has deactivated 6 bombs and a bomb car.

Turkish special forces have August 24 launched an operation of Euphrates Shield cooperating with opposition factions trained and armed by Turks. 

The aim of the operation according to Turkey is to clean an area of 5 square kilometres northern Syria from the Islamic State to be considered as a safe zone.
