Regime air strikes hit Nasib border crossing, senior rebel commander killed

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Regime's warplanes have committed a massacre around the crossing point of Nasib between Syria and Jordan near Daraa, killing 10 people including children and women, adding to dozens of injuries.

Field sources reported that regime warplanes have Thursday stroke a group of displaced civilians living near the crossing point of Nasib, confirming that captain Emad Taqtaq and his wife were among the killed.

Captain Taqtaq from Rastan in Homs countryside, commander of al-Sadiq al-Amin battalion, one of the first formations of the Free Syrian Army in Daraa.

Targeted area is only few metres away from Jordanian boarders, which gave the displaced people the feeling of safety because it could've been away from air strike as a border area.

Syrian opposition has controlled the crossing point of Nasib with Jordan April 2015. It is one of the two crossing points between Syria and Jordan “Nasib-Jaber and Ramtha-Daraa”, which are two kilometres away from each other. The opposition controlled Daraa crossing point end of 2013.
