(Zaman Al Wasl)- Officials of the Democratic Union party (PYD) have promised villages of Tal Hamis in Hasaka Countryside to reconnect electricity after days of tension and threatening of boycotting the Kurdish Self Administration, in the same time, armed groups of the PYD raided houses searching for young men for conscription.
Activist Malaz al-Yusuf reported that the Democratic Union Party has lately agreed to reconnect the electricity in Tal Hamis villages like other villages, after residents demands and protesting because of discrimination, but it changed the agreement three days later, which caused severe protest refusing being without electricity.
Sheikh Saleh al-Bashar al-Daham, sheikh of the village of al-Sharabyen tribe has called people in villages to boycott schools affiliate to self Administration and dissolve People’s House and its councils, as a sign of protest for disconnecting electricity, threatening of going into a strike. However, officials of the PYD held a meeting with Sheikh al-Bashar and promised to reconnect electricity to the 14 villages.
In a relevant content, al-Yusuf mentioned that armed groups of PYD have raided villages at nights in Tal hamis other villages of Hasaka, searching for escaper from conscription and detained many of their people, as the armed group tended to raid young men’s houses, if they did not find them, they detained one of their families, like father or brother as a pressurising point to hand themselves.
The activist added that armed members searched everything at houses, as if they were looking for things , not only men.
Dozens of people in the village of al-Hinwa in Tal Hamis demonstrated as s protest for cutting electricity in 14 villages September 2014, considering that discriminations against them, because PYD let electricity connected to villages of its militias.
PYD has 2014 announced forming Kurdish Self Administration with its own military and security bodies, besides courts and institutions similar to those of countries, in 3 regions, Efrin, Ain al-Arab and al-Jazeera, then it joined Northern of Raqqa, Aleppo and Southern of Hasaka, all those area kept away from regime’s shelling and air strikes.
