(Zaman Al Wasl)- a young woman has Sunday been abducted at one of the most important barriers in the coastal city of Latakia, moreover, another girl went missing at the same place, which caused a state of anger in the city.
The facebook page of “Mortar shell in Latakia memories” reported that Rahaf Anjro, 18, was abducted from the square of Sheikh Daher in the centre of Latakia city, at a barrier common for police and security and Shbiha in daylight, but no one reported seeing the accident.
The news caused a state of anger prevailed the regime-supporting social media and other residents in the city of different background, especially it was the second abduction incident in three days, as a young woman went missing the Friday before.
Many have straight away accused the regime forces and security for abducting the two ladies, as no one dare to do that act in such area full of security and in front of the barrier.
A shop owner in Sheikh Daher square talked to Zaman al-Wasl on condition of anonymity reported that members of the barrier breached law and people’s rights easily and frequently as they swear to people, beat and arrest them, beside taking goods from shops without paying, and other unacceptable acts.
Regime-supporting social media expressed their anger, wondering where the country and the law was to let such acts to happen.
Many expressed that the country as intact institutions has disappeared and all matter were left to Shabiha amid lack of security.
On the other hand, Shabiha rudely replied to accusations against them saying that girls might have run away with their lovers, or they have been spending some days with traders from Aleppo at beach.
Cases of abducting children and women have been witnessed widely in Latakia, and the matter ends by paying ransom to abductors. however, these cases have not widely been reported, due to social reasons especially from the girls’ families, or due to threatening families by abductors.
However, the obvious fact is that Latakia city live a state of lack of security. As dozens of cases of killing, abduction and robbery were reported by Zaman al-Wasl added to the latest about abducting that young woman.
