(Zaman Al Wasl)- Governor of Karkamis state in Turkey has issued an order Monday to close the hospital of Jarablus without giving any justification, according to local sources.
The source talked to Zaman al-Wasl on condition of anonymity confirmed that the hospital is official managed by Liberated Directorate Health of Aleppo.
The decision caused a wave of anger over the social media, but Dr. Khamis Turk, Director of the Health office in the local council of Jarablus explained the reasons behind closing the hospital was due to negligence an medical mistakes happened and caused death of a child girl and hysterectomy of a woman.
Khamis explained in a statement to Zaman al-Wasl that the city was liberated two months ago as part of Euphrates shield, and it has no surgical hospital, it has only a medical centre with one operation room was established after liberating the city.
Dr Khamis explained that Turkish Ministry of Health has established a medical centre in Jarablus to provide heath care to people in the area, mentioning that it used to treat all non-urgent medical conditions, while transfer surgical cases to Turkish hospital.
Zaman al-Wasl was not able to contact the director of Health Directorate, Abdul Basit Ibrahim, to comment on the subject.
A source talked on condition of anonymity express his anger for the Turkish intervention in a mere Syrian matter, as Turkey has no right to close the hospital, even if it was established by the Turkish ministry of health, as that decision is the right for Directorate of health in the liberated Syrian government.
