Syrian Psychologist sells gas in Lebanon to afford life expenses


(Zaman Al Wasl)- Abdo Saleh, a Psychologist graduated from the University of al-Baath in Homs at First rank 2002. However the war in Syria forced him to leave the country and live as a refugee in Lebanon, selling Gas Cylinders to cover the cost of living for his family.

Abdo Saleh from the village of al-Moshrifa, used to be in first rank among his colleague n school and university, but after refuge, he has no job to cover expenses of his family consists of 4 boys and two girls, who have followed their father’s family in talent and excellence in their schools. The new circumstances forced him to sell Gas in refugees’ camps. Leaving all he learnt behind his back. He is only keen in securing his children’s future and cost of teaching.

Abdo explained to Zaman al-Wasl that Syrian refugees are in real need for Psychological support especially children who witnessed terror and fear from regime’s shelling and air strikes, which caused wide range of psychological diseases and disorders like aggression, Autism, Enuresis, obsession, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, disappointment and others.

The Psychologist was disappointed after finding no job suitable for his speciality after countless applications, and that was one of the main reason for pushing him to buy as seller of gas cylinders.
