PYD to close Yakiti party's offices, radio station


(Zaman Al Wasl)- Militants of the Kudish Democratic Union Party (PYD) have launched an arrest campaign against Kurdish politicians in Amoda area in the Northern countryside of Hasaka after their attempts to break in Yakiti Party’s offices. 

The central committee of Yakiti party said in a statement that PYD, the Syrian branch of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has exceeded the limit in dealing with Yakiti party after targeting its offices and staff days ago in Amoda city, as the PYD’s members had  broken doors’ galss and closed them with chains, besides arresting 4 workers in Amoda radio then they were released.

The committee added that PYD’s militant has Thursday seized contents of the radio station such as broadcasting equipments, computers and others, besides messing up the furniture. Added to that, according to the committee, militants had detained for hours deputy party secretary Hassan Saleh and members of the Political Committee (Maroof Mulla Ahmed, Abdul Samad Khalaf  Berro,  Solaiman Ouso, Sabri Mirza and Anwar al-Naso), along with Hussein Shehadeh, a member of the local council of the Kurdish national Council, besides “Faisal Kadri and Halim Haji Qasim”, members of the organization of Amoda, of Yakiti party. Added to Sorch Hasu, Mirvn Amo, and Joan Abdo Aju,  members of the women and youth Office, besides Abdo Younis Aju, according to Yakiti website.

PYD has 2014 announced forming Kurdish Self Administration with its own military and security bodies, besides courts and  institutions similar to those of countries, in 3 regions, Efrin, Ain al-Arab and al-Jazeera, then it joined Northern of Raqqa, Aleppo and Southern of Hasaka, all those area kept away from regime’s shelling and air strikes.
