(Zaman Al Wasl)- Powerful Islam Army said Saturday that an agreement has been reached with a rival group in the besieged Eastern Ghouta suburbs after weeks of rifts and discords, according to statement, posted online.
The statement, seen by Zaman al-Wasl, said Jaish al-Islam and Faylaq al-Rahama agreed to end their infighting and to devote all military efforts to defend Ghouta district east of Damascus.
The deal came after pleas and calls by the residents and other rebel faction operating east of Damascus, saying the real fight should be against Bashar al-Assad and his allied militias only.
