(Zaman Al Wasl)- Kurdish PYD militia launched arrest campaign to against journalists and media activists in northeastern city of Hasaka, sources said.
Omar Kojari, Editor of Kurdistan Newspaper told Zaman al-Wasl that Sardar Dari, correspondent of Walat-FM radio, has been abducted by a group of masked members of PYD from his area in the neighborhood of al-Mofti in Hasaka, and then he was found in a miserable way and gasping for breath and about to die due to hitting violently and stabbing him by the abductors.
Kojari, the representative of Syria’s Kurdish journalists, added that what had happened to Dari was not surprising to them, as it was not the first time of such practices by the PYD. He confirmed that brutal act against Dari reached to attempt murder.
Kojari mentioned that many journalists were victims of abduction and arrest and breaking fingers and arms, especially 2015-2106, as PYD and Asayish, the security arm of PYD can easily breach rights of journalists and human rights against any one disagree with their principles
Editor of Kurdistan newspaper mentioned that PYD’s act is strongly condemned, wither against people in general and journalists in particular. He mentioned that regime’s journalists are protected from arrest or detentions despite the reports they do against PYD.
PYD’s security arm and armed masked groups have launched a campaign of arrest against many Kurdish politicians in Amoda northern countryside of Hasaka, as they arrested August 15 the secretary of Kurdish Democratic party in Syria and a member of the political office and many members of the central committees of the party after participating in Habib’s Qadri’s funeral, the member of Syrian Peshmerga.
PYD has 2014 announced forming Kurdish Self Administration with its own military and security bodies, besides courts and institutions similar to those of countries, in 3 regions, Efrin, Ain al-Arab and al-Jazeera, then it joined Northern of Raqqa, Aleppo and Southern of Hasaka, all those area kept away from regime’s shelling and air strikes.
