12 people killed in Russian strikes on border crossing with Jordan Nov. 10: source

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Well-informed sources said Russia's warplanes hit a border site with Jordan in southern Daraa province on November 10, killing 12 people, including 5 children and 4 women.

Three Sukh-24 fighter jets took off from Russia-controlled Hmeimym air base in Latakia province, heading the rebel-held Nasib border crossing, sources said.

The casualties were members of two families, one of them the family of an army defector, Captain Imad Taqtaq who passed away with his wife, sister-in-law and two children.

Observers said the attack was a provocative step by Moscow against Amman where the attack was just 250 yards from a Jordanian barrack while some say the step may had been coordinated.
