(Zaman al-Wasl)- Clashes continue between ISIS and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militias in Hasakah province announced death of 5 of its mercenaries who hold Turkish citizenship north of Raqqa. Kurdish sources said an American called Michael of Israel was killed during battles with ISIS.
Activist Ahmad al-Ali told Zaman al-Wasl that clashes took place between ISIS and (SDF) militias in the surrounding of al-Malha and Abu Fas areas west of al-Shadadi in southern countryside leading to causalities from the two sides.
He pointed out that (SDF) militia launched an attack on ISIS strongholds near Rwaished area on the administrative borders between Deir ez-Zor and Hasakah
The activist said that ISIS members later attacked the (SDF) militias in the surrounding of villages Anad, Tashtash, Nafnufeh, al-Hamrat and al-Wahibi.
ISIS also cut the road between al-Azawi village south of al-Shadadi and villages of Abu Fas and al-Malha west of it. They advanced on the southern axis until they reached the outskirts of the village Jarmez Shamali, 14 Km south of al-Shadadi.
Al-Ali indicated that talks are circulated in the area around killing or injuring of American soldiers in an airstrip in the silos of Abu Fas village, the area which ISIS attacked 3 days ago and withdrew from after American Apache helicopters intervened.
Also, 4 (SDF) mercenaries have been killed in a planted bomb explosion on the road connecting al-Shadadi city with the gas factory, according to the activist.
(YPG) militia revealed the names of 5 of its fighters who hold Turkish citizenship including two women. They have been killed on November 24 during battles with ISIS in Raqqa northern countryside.
In the same context, Kurdish sources said that an American who was fighting with the (PYD) militias who is known by nickname “Michael of Israel” was killed during the battles against ISIS north of Syria.
Michael Facebook page says he was in Aleppo eastern countryside and he mentioned in his last post that he was visiting Najm Castle in Manbij region on November 16.
In the fall of 2015, United States formed a military alliance under the name (SDF) including (YPG), Women Protection Units, al-Sanadid Forces, the Assyrian Military Council, Burkan al-Furat in addition to al-Jazira Brigades Group and Jaish al-Thwar which includes al-Akrad Front.
