Regime shelling on Homs killed 54 civilians in November: monitor


(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syria's rescuing group, the Civil Defense, said 54 people had been killed and 100 more wounded in al-Waer neighborhood and the embattled northern countryside of Homs last November.

The Civil Defense in Homs documented that in November 54 people were killed, including 17 children and 13 women, while more than 100 people were injured, including amputations.

Moreover, according to Civil Defense, 99 airstrikes hit the al-Waer using cluster and vacuum bombs besides CK5 rockets, killing 13 civilians.

The report showed that 40 civilians were killed in besieged al-Waer neighborhood by Fil rocket equipped with internationally-banned burning Napalm, added to artillery shelling.

In a relevant content, bad weather and heavy raining has prevented warplanes from flying and striking.

People of Talbisah and Rastan told Zaman al-Wasl that people have took the chance of heavy rain and ceasing airstrikes to go and check their houses.

Moamoon Karmo from Talbisah said: “airstrikes were stopped due to heavy rain, I went to check my house, it was destroyed by vacuum rocket and some artillery shells, Talbisah is now a devastated city, most houses are destroyed and the rest are hardly habitable.”

Reports mentioned that Syrian regime and Russian warplanes used to hit al-Waer neighborhood and Northern countryside almost 5 to 10 by airstrikes daily and artillery shelling.
