Iranian cargo flights land heavily at Damascus airport: sources

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Heavy movement of Iranian aircraft between Iran and Syria as the number of Iranian flights has more than doubled in the last two weeks, sources reported. 

Sources reported to Zaman l-Wasl correspondent inside Syria on condition of anonymity that Damascus airport has been like a beehive in the last two weeks, especially between November 24-27, where more than 20 flights used to land within 24 hours, most of them cargo planes. 

The source added that cargo planes queued at the cargo stores under heavy guard, suspecting that they carried military materials and equipments. Moreover, the age of travellers were at youth age. 

Before Aleppo battle, no more than two flight a day used to land at Damascus airport, but the increase in intensity of flights coinciding with Aleppo battle points out to the ongoing transportation of Iranian fighter, and Hezbollah militias, besides military equipments.
