(Zaman Al Wasl)- Pro-regime students of Tishreen University in coastal Latakia city have turned to an armed militia since tens of them have arms inside the campus, threatening the safety of colleagues who come from rebel-held areas, sources said.
On Tuesday, a girl threatened her colleague with a loaded gun because she talked to her boyfriend, such an incident that caused lots pressure and embarrassment to the university administration because they were not able to deal with the threatening girl, as she was a daughter of prominent officer in Military security forces.
A wave of contradicting and sarcastic opinions spread over the social media commenting on the subject, some of them suggested annexing the attacker to the Fifth Corps and giving her an advanced position.

Carrying arms inside university has become familiar since the beginning of the revolution especially regime loyalists, as the security branches had handed a big number of students, especially from the Alawite-dominated city of Jablah and Bashar al-Assad's hometown of al-Qardaha, with guns for security reason, and gave them permission to use.
An Arabic literature student Khaled Gabaoul explained that arms with students are intended to threaten other students opposing the regime.
While the French literature student Nour Midani expresses that she feels tension and threatening of arrest inside the university, as if she is living in a besieged area.
Many calls over the social media from fake accounts demanded preventing arms inside the university, same as all other university around the world.
Mohammed al-Sahili, an activist reported to Zaman al-Wasl that a security official in the university mentioned that all students from outside Latakia and live in the University accommodation are under monitoring and they can be arrested if they did any suspicious act.
He added that all names are at the security bodies, conscription branches and National Defense Forces, and they can be arrested anytime and sent to fight with bodies requested support.
