(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime army lost connection with loyal fighters were heading the ISIS-besieged T-4 military airbase this week, in support to forces fighting the radical group in Syria desert, sources said.
Zaman al-Wasl obtained information assuring that regime has lost connection with a group of its allied militias, Baath battalions, and others from the military intelligence, were sent to T4 airport.
No details about the circumstances behind missing these militias in the desert of Homs, or the body that might have captured them, worries that ISIS fighters might have arrested them.
Families of missing militias members are worried about the fate of their relatives , fear that they have been captured by the Islamic State.
The T4 airport’s defense forces fear of any new attack by the Islamic State.
The Islamic State (ISIS) militants had attacked the T4 Military Airport Monday, December 12, resulted in destroying at least three warplanes in the airport by mortar shelling, and captured some parts of the base following clashes with the regime forces.
The T4 Airport is an essential and most important military airport, it provide the regime forces with close air support. ISIS jihadists managed to hit the airport after controlling the checkpoints in the nearby Mashtal and Qasr al-Hir town.
Attacking T4 airbase followed recapturing the historical city of Palmyra in Eastern countryside of Homs a day before.

ISIS had controlled Palmyra May 2015, however the Syrian regime recaptured it again March this year.
