(Zaman Al Wasl)- A series of security penetrations within rebels’ factions have been found, and played essential role in falling of areas under armed opposition control or assassination of many commanders of different factions.
A special source has provided Zaman al-Wasl information and photos of a woman agent works for the Syrian regime's intelligence, is trying to communicate with rebels and fighters in Jobar neighborhood in Damascus, in order to provide the information to the regime’s intelligence.

Documents have shown that the woman called Yasmin Asami, daughter of Bassam and Amna, was born in 1981, and has a membership card of the National Defense Force (NDF) from Damascus, and the national number registered on both the ID card and NDF’s membership is the same.
Photos provided to Zaman al-Wasl showed many shots of Yasmin wearing the military uniform as well as ordinary clothes, without scarf covering her hair. But the photos on the ID card and NDF’s membership card showed her in a scarf.
The Syrian regime intelligence is still relying on its agents in different areas, in order to achieve significant penetration of rebels’ factions and obtaining as much information as possible about their plans and movements.

Jobar neighborhood, few hundred meters away from Abassiyin square in Damascus, is one of the most difficult rebels’ areas in Damascus and regime till now finds huge difficulty in controlling it.
The latest battle of Aleppo which led to sudden fall of rebel-controlled Eastern Aleppo, revealed the extent of security penetration of the armed opposition, which had a major role in the surprising fall of the Eastern Aleppo. The penetration included all aspects of the opposition like military, media, aid and relief, medical and legal, beside penetrating the revolutionary military bodies and councils.
Moreover, new information showed the security penetration of al-Tawhid Brigade by the Syrian regime intelligence, which resulted in killing Abdelqader al-Saleh, known as “Hajji Marea” by a Syrian air force bombing raid November 2013 while he was in a meeting with commanders of the brigade in infantry school.
The armed opposition is accused of lacking the minimum security procedures to avoid penetration, especially the moderate groups affiliated to the Free Syrian Army, opposite the regime, that do all possible method to get information about the opposition and its military actions like overhearing communication, sending its agents to opposition controlled areas, using local people to provide it with information by using their needs or threatening them.
