The Lebanese Army arrested Sunday seven suspects in north Lebanon on terror links, state media reported.
An army intelligence patrol detained seven Syrian nationals in Zgharta north of Beirut on charges “of communicating with terrorist groups,” the National News Agency said.
No further details were provided.
The army and security forces regularly carry out arrests of suspects as a preemptive measure against hard-line extremist groups and break up sleeper cells.
